As a Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for facilitating the development of solutions that align with our client’s strategic goals and operational needs.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst who will function as a key intermediary between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating the development of solutions that align with our client’s strategic goals and operational needs. This is position is a full-time, remote, long-term contract.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with various internal departments such as Front Office, Operations, Compliance, and IT to analyze requirements

  • Lead and facilitate project meetings to drive effective outcomes

  • Document current and target system processes, data mappings, and ETL specifications, adhering to the Bank's SDLC standards

  • Maintain detailed records of meetings and track action items to ensure timely progress

  • Identify and propose enhancements and automations for banking operations

  • Perform data analysis to inform decision-making and support strategic planning

  • Provide support and problem-solving for existing systems and business processes

  • Assist with the development and execution of UAT test cases in coordination with the UAT team

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Exceptional communication skills are essential, as this role involves interaction across all business areas of the bank

  • Advanced writing abilities for conveying technical specifications to development teams

  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial banking products, services, and processes, including but not limited to various financial instruments, KYC procedures, and payment systems (ACH, Wires, SWIFT, etc.)

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Business Analyst in banking or a related industry

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI

  • Experience in drafting report specifications

  • Familiarity with banking systems, payment processing, risk management, and compliance technologies

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, working with a diverse team and effectively engaging stakeholders to identify and prioritize business requirements

  • Keen attention to detail with the capability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to evaluate options and recommend solutions

  • Independent and self-directed, requiring minimal supervision for daily tasks and project delivery

  • Self-motivated and dedicated to continuous personal and professional growth

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
