Overview
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the GTS Corporate Applications Solutions Architect. The Senior Business Analyst key role will be the lead business analyst within GTS Corporate Applications, focused on the Global Systems Implementation. The Senior Business Analyst should have the broad focus on end-to-end business and technical processes and interfaces, ensures appropriate controls are in place and integrates data for decision makers and business owners to support IT, Compliance, project, and vendor management activities.
How you’ll make an impact
- Serve as a GTS Corporate Applications subject matter expert associated with functionality, content, processes, and procedures for the Global Systems Implementation project, focused initially on LatAm and UK/EMEA countries
- Designing and implementing technical solutions that align with the organization’s business requirements and goals.
- Assessing and analyzing the organization’s current technical infrastructure and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Developing technical architectures and roadmaps that outline the steps needed to achieve the desired state, including recommendations for new technologies, upgrades, and system integrations.
- Define detailed requirements, analyze business needs, and validate solutions with the internal partners.
- Ensuring that technical solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient by evaluating different options and selecting those that meet the organization’s needs.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, and IT teams, to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise to project teams throughout the implementation process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Assist business customers in adopting new third-party technology solutions in line with Gallagher standards.
- Documenting technical architectures, designs, and processes to ensure clarity and maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
- Collaborating with other architects, such as enterprise architects and solution architects, to ensure alignment and integration of technical solutions within the overall enterprise architecture framework.
- Provide an overview of current in-house systems and assess the viability of incoming applications.
- Perform as a valued member of the technology team, contributing significantly to the success of the wider IT agenda.
- Carry out duties in accordance with internal policies, procedures, applicable laws, regulations, and Gallagher’s shared values.
- Provide detailed and summary status reporting to GTS Corporate Applications Solutions Architect
About You
- 5+ years of experience working with Solutions Architects as a Business Analyst, Application Specialist or similar role
- Experience working in large enterprises with domestic and international locations
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a Business Analysis/Architecture/Designer environment
- Excellent analysis and design capabilities
- Excellent computer literacy skills
- Strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office Products, especially Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with third party vendors to implement SaaS solutions
- Working “hands-on” knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and project management methodologies
- Intermediate SQL query skills preferred
- Moderate fluency in Spanish & Portuguese is a plus
