Overview:

This position leads analytic efforts, delivers strategic insight, and acts as a technical expert for business systems within the Bank. Performs at the highest level of service complexity in support of system operations, performance, and usage. Develops advanced solutions and specifications to resolve process issues, which may involve elements of testing and development. Serves as a resource to wider business units or associates and may provide a leadership role for less experienced analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis – Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs data analysis at the most advanced level, effectively communicating and directing analysis output. May handle special projects or direct the analytics efforts of the work group.
  • Identifying Requirements – Determines system requirements and communicates them through the use of specifications, reports, project plans, or other forms of documentation. Determines and resolves complex factors that affect system processes. Ensures compliance through monitoring and analysis.
  • Reporting – Enables strategic insight into business systems through reports to senior management. Evaluates systems based on data analysis, user input, and extensive testing. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement, and develops process enhancements based on results.
  • System Support – Provides expert technical support for systems by responding to inquiries, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve the end-user experience. Handles escalated and complex support issues. Develops and implements modifications and enhancements. Serves as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units, offering expertise on systems and data output.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support

Preferred Requirements

  • Unix command line experience
  • Proven ability to develop and interpret complex SQL statements in DB2 and Netezza
  • SAS programming (SAS AIX, Enterprise Guide)
  • Experience using an enterprise job scheduling tool in a distributed environment (Control-M)
  • Data Warehouse knowledge
  • Knowledge of Multi-dimensional database schemas
  • DbVisualizer (or equivalent SQL query tool) experience
  • Experience analyzing, testing, documenting, and implementing projects of medium to large complexity
  • Knowledge of System Life Cycle Development and Agile Methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform tasks from multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with industry standard PC products (Microsoft Office applications)
