*******Senior Data ScientistOil and Gas HeadquartersGE Oil and GasUnited StatesEssential ResponsibilitiesThe EIC is BHGE’s research division developing the next generation digital industrial technologies for product offerings in the oil and gas industry.The Senior Data Scientist will be part of a cross-disciplinary team working on research and customer-facing development projects, typically involving large, complex data sets. The teams typically consist of software developers, engineers, product managers, computer scientists, and end users working to develop algorithms into commercially viable products and services in the EIC Technology Development ********** Senior Data Scientist, you will:

Work with customers, engineers, and other data scientists to develop and validate analytics within well-defined projects to address customer needs and opportunities

Work in technical teams in development, deployment, and application of applied analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics

Work alongside software developers and software engineers to translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services

Work on data quality assessment, data cleansing and data analytics

Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods

Develop and apply Deep Learning and different technologies, including CNN and RNN etc., for analytics, computer vision, imaging algorithms, speech, and natural language processing etc. applications

classification techniques via supervised/unsupervised learning, automated feature generation, and image labeling etc.

Deploy the solutions into oilfield and evaluate the performance of deep learning models

Generate reports, annotated code, and other projects artifacts to document, archive, and communicate the work and outcomes

Support analytics framework development, working closely with analytics researchers, data scientists, mechanical, electrical, petroleum and chemical engineers

Provide inputs on best practices, industry trends, and future potential for industrial analytics.

Influence from a technical standpoint across the function and business.Role Summary/PurposeAs Senior Data Scientist located at the BHGE Energy Innovation Center (EIC) in Oklahoma City you will work with the EIC Digital Enablement Leader to drive the development of industrial analytics to solve customer challenges in the oil and gas industry.You will work with customers to understand product needs, as well as petroleum engineers, other data scientists and SW developers to create and validate new analytics to be integrated into commercial product offerings.Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

Masters’ degree in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with industrial/research work experience of 5 years or more

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Oklahoma CityDesired Characteristics
Ph.D degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Math with industrial/research work experience

Demonstrated proficiency in coding in one or more languages (e.g. Python, Matlab, C, C++, R, or Java etc.)

Demonstrated skills in applying supervised/unsupervised machine learning/deep learning techniques in algorithm development (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, and neural networks etc.)

Demonstrated skills in the use of one or more machine learning/deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, Caffe2, Theano, Torch, CTPN etc.) in time series data

Good CPU/GPU parallel computing knowledge and algorithm performance tuning knowledge

Experience implementing machine learning algorithms on one or more of the cloud-based, online, embedded and mobile platforms

Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to develop technical requirements based upon proactive analysis of customer needs

Demonstrated ability to work in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments

Work experience in a customer facing technical role

Experience incorporating engineering analytics or advanced data-driven analytics into software solutions

Demonstrated awareness of feature extraction and real-time analytics methods

Demonstrated awareness of analytic prototyping, analytic scaleup, analytic scaling, and solutions integration

Strong background in deep learning and modeling techniques (RNN, CNN, DNN, ANN, DBN etc.)

Exposure to Agile management practices and experience working in cross functional agile teams

Experience working with big data technologies to ingest, process and store structured and un-structured data in rest and in motion using Hadoop, Spark, Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies

Experience on integrating advanced hardware technologies (Nvidia etc.) into Enterprise Cloud architectures to support Data Analytics and Machine Learning

Experience working in a research environment

Effective teaming and problem-solving abilities with strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Proven ability to think customer-first and effectively prioritize and pivot as required.

Experience in oil and gas industry and familiarity with unconventional oil and gas asset technologies
