SUMMARY

The Senior Developer is responsible for the development and implementation of Web based software applications (both internally and externally developed), along with supporting our legacy systems and tools used for client implementations. They are also responsible for maintenance and improvements of current systems as well as work on the development of new ones. This includes developing scalable solutions with a high level of quality and testability. This resource will also act as a liaison between the Client Technology Delivery team and the Client Systems Engineering Developers, and provide technical mentoring to others in C# .Net. The individual is expected to maintain and improve current systems as well as work on the development of new ones. This individual will also work on break fix tickets and service requests and is responsible for communicating status to internal clients and team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

– Provides coding and unit testing of new applications or enhancements to ensure requirements have been met
– Partners with appropriate team members and corporate groups throughout the development process
– Responsible for ensuring development assignments are completed in line with Hallmark Business Connections application standards
– Collaborates with other developers to ensure seamless flow between various applications within the system
– Participates in project planning by providing detailed task lists and estimates to Technical Lead or Project Manager
– Participates in the requirement gathering phase of projects.
– Assists in the creation of system test plans that will ensure the business needs are met by the new or enhanced system.
– Escalating issues with the functional design to Technical Lead for remediation.
– Provides liaison role between development and support teams.
– Aid in the evaluation and selection of new technology in business tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Minimum 5 years combined experience with .NET related technologies (C#) and web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
– Minimun 3 years experience developing with SQL and SQL Management Studio
– Bachelor’s Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience with Microsoft Development tools including Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio for Web Based Application Development
– Experience with Entity Framework
– Experience with web front end frameworks such as Angular or React
– Experience with TypeScript
– Experience with writing SQL queries for data analysis and problem solving
– Experience with Microsoft SSRS or SSIS tools
– Experience with Oracle
