Role: Senior Developer (PostgreSQL and Ruby)
Experience: Minimum 8 to 12 years of solid experience.
Job Location: Candidates need to be willing to work in an Hybrid model from the Client’s office in Dallas – TX.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust applications using PostgreSQL and Ruby to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable software solutions.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications by optimizing database queries and code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system stability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance development practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and Ruby with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Have experience in the Provider domain which is considered an advantage.
- Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry advancements.
- Display the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a hybrid work model.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for the position is between $ 68,422 – $ 114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
