The Automobile Club of Southern California has an excellent opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer – Converged to join our team.  The ideal Senior DevOps Engineer – Converged plays a critical role in engineering, design, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of compute and storage devices that make up ACE’s private cloud across multiple datacenters.

What You’ll Do

  • Every day you will meet challenges related to accepting payments and managing financials as part of a team that prides itself on a culture of harmony and shared knowledge.
  • You’ll design, plan, implement, upgrade, and maintain data center technologies in the areas of storage, compute, and virtualization with a focus on Cisco UCS, HPE Compute Platforms, Nutanix, VMware, and Cisco Data Center Technologies.
  • You’ll proactively maintain platforms in use supporting the ACE Data Center.
  • You will quickly and effectively identify, troubleshoot, and communicate hardware and software technical problems.
  • Ensure solution is implemented as designed to the customer’s satisfaction and approval.
  • You will create high quality content deliverables which include Design, As-Built, Connectivity and other high level and or detailed documentation.
  • Assist in the development of technology roadmaps to meet and anticipate client needs
  • You’ll participate in the development and implementation of VMWare related operational procedures and define the standards for virtual servers from the infrastructure platform and delivery to end users.
  • Maintain the system, network, and application security integrity and maintaining compliance with current Information Security policies.
  • Apply Defense in Depth methodologies to the hardening to all associated systems.

What You’ll Need

  • To thrive in this role, you must have extensive experience managing data center technologies including planning, development, implementation and support of vSphere, VMware virtual switching, vMotion, and HA, Nutanix platforms.
  • You will need experience with troubleshooting storage and Cisco Data Center Technologies (MDS, UCS, and Nexus).
  • You must maintain current CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • You will need a minimum of one of the following certifications with emphasis on the platform or system being supported by this PWS, or able to obtain within 12 months of hire:
    • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP).
    • Nutanix Engineer
    • Cisco CCNP Data Center
