Our financial services business unit is looking for talented full-stack cross functional DevOps engineers with strong practical experience to join us in working on a variety of engagements across our banking and financial services clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

You will help to build key financial services systems, working in an agile environment.

At the core of our highly functioning teams is the ability for the team members to be cross functional, willing, and able to do whatever is required from them to achieve the team's goals.

We are looking for individuals passionate about writing the best code and everything that goes with that but in addition, you should be able to gather requirement clarifications by openly communicating with the Product Owner, other teams, your team members; and at times, business analysts.

You should be able to architect and design solutions (with the help of SMEs who serve as consultants to the team).

You will also be expected to write automated tests to test your work and pair up with your team members to increase quality in what you collectively deliver.

All our engineers are client facing so you will be expected to communicate with people outside of the team, which includes the client and wider CGI.

We are looking for people who are motivated and keen to make a positive impact on the world by enjoying what they do best and becoming masters of their art.

You should be confident and not afraid of experimenting with your team. Whilst utilising the outcomes as opportunities to reflect and learn.

You will be able to demonstrate your experience and understanding of not just the theoretical aspects of working in agile environments, but the practical and underlying fundamentals and how and why they work.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Demonstrable experience working as a member of an agile team in a cross functional, DevOps engineering role
• Experience working with one or more of cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proven track record of producing robust, maintainable, and reusable code
• Have experience in two or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python, C#, TypeScript
• Experience working with relational and NoSql databases
• Experience working with Docker or other containerisation technologies
• Working in Test Driven and Behaviour Driven Development environments
• Experience successfully implementing and using CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to analyse, think quickly and resolve conflict
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to inspect and adapt within a changing environment and welcome opportunities to grow with your team
• Self-motivated and able to stay focused
• A strong sense of entrepreneurship, user centricity and desire to continuously learn and improve
