JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented team member to join our organization as a Sr. IT Business Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing insightful and data-driven reports for a variety of stakeholders, analyzing financial and operational data, and managing the capital budget to ensure strategic and efficient use of resources. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, and a strong understanding of budgeting principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data from multiple sources.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data trends to support decision-making.
Capital Budget Management
- Oversee the development, tracking, and maintenance of the capital budget.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment with financial goals and project priorities.
- Monitor and report variances between actual and budgeted expenditures, providing explanations and solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with IT leadership and key stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
- Act as a liaison between finance and operational teams to ensure data accuracy and clarity.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance data collection and reporting processes.
- Develop and implement new tools or methodologies to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in analytics and budgeting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance or a data-related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, financial reporting, or budget management roles.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
- Familiarity with financial systems, budgeting software, capital expenditure planning and forecasting.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Certification in data analytics or financial management (e.g., CFA, CPA).
