About the role

• Carefully review specifications, designs, pull requests and provide constructive/helpful feedback.

• Write high-quality code, refactor and optimize code for better scalability, performance, and readability.

• Integrate new frameworks, libraries, technologies, and components into codebase.

• Proactively log/collect and review metrics, monitor, alert and address issues quickly.

• Support and mentor teams through design, implementation and deployment of solutions using relevant technologies. 

• Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications adhering to standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.

• Execute production/support tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

• Identify and influence opportunities to improve overall architecture to adapt and grow with changing business needs.

• Facilitate engineering discussions with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Contribute to the design of new features.

• Advocate for standard methodologies.

• Mentor junior engineers.

Acerca del puesto:

• Revisar cuidadosamente las especificaciones, diseños, solicitudes de cambio de código y proveer retroalimentaciones constructivas y útiles.

• Escribir código de alta calidad, refactorizar y optimizar código para mejor escalabilidad, rendimiento y legibilidad.

• Integrar nuevos marcos, bibliotecas, tecnologías y componentes en el codebase. 

• Registrar/recolectar proactivamente y revisar métricas, monitorear, alertar y solucionar problemas rápidamente. 

• Apoyar y ser mentor de los equipos durante el diseño, implementación y despliegue de soluciones usando tecnologías relevantes.

• Asegurar la consistencia y la mantenibilidad de las aplicaciones existentes adhiriéndose a los estándares/procedimientos para implementar soluciones técnicas. 

• Ejecutar tareas de producción/apoyo de acuerdo con un calendario documentado que cumpla o supere las expectativas de los clientes.

• Identificar e influenciar oportunidades con el fin de mejorar la arquitectura en general para adaptar y crecer con las necesidades cambiantes del negocio.

• Facilitar discusiones de ingeniería con los gerentes de producto, diseñadores, y otras partes interesadas para entender las necesidades del negocio y traducirlas en requisitos técnicos. 

• Contribuir al diseño de nuevas funciones.

• Abogar por metodologías estándares.

• Ser mentor de ingenieros más junior.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
