Leidos is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy.  Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month.  We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills:  Extensive experience as a ServiceNow Developer in various modules and services; Experience as a ServiceNow Team Lead providing direction and assistance to the development team. 

*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week.

  • Provide support as a Team Lead and as a ServiceNow Senior Developer. 
  • Analyze the customer requirements and develop a solution architecture that addresses the technical, management, maximizes automation, and provides operational reporting aspects of the proposal.
  • Lead the development of solution artifacts, such as road maps, optimization of operations, architecture and/or block diagrams with a view outside of User Story requirements.
  • Provide support in building prototypes and lead technical reviews and discussions of defined requirements.
  • Provide support and mentor ServiceNow Developers. 

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s and 8 years of experience, Master’s and 6 years of experience or 12+ in lieu of a degree
  • 8+ years of experience as ServiceNow developer
  • Excellent technical leadership skills and initiative to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to deliver technical solutions simply and succinctly
  • Experience with the US Federal Government
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • Required ServiceNow required certification:
    • Certified System Administrator (baseline)
    • Certified Application Developer (baseline)
  • Additional ServiceNow CIS certification with preference for the following:
    • CIS – Customer Service Management
    • CIS – IT Service Management
    • CIS – Discovery
    • CIS – Service Mapping
    • CIS – Strategic Portfolio Management
    • CIS – Application Portfolio Management
    • CIS – Software Asset Management
    • CIS – Hardware Asset Management
  • 8+ years of experience with developing ServiceNow solutions across various platform applications, such as ITSM, ITOM (HAM and SAM), ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, HR
  • 5+ years of experience with technical discussions and reviews.
  • Experience across numerous parts of the ServiceNow platform and experience with commonly integrated third-party technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing system architecture, design principles, and impacts.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT related data integrity (CMDB, HAM, SAM etc.)
  • 5+ years of Industry experience (e.g. Financial Services, Healthcare, High Tech, Manufacturing, Retail, etc.)
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience driving change/solutions.

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Experience with Web development, including technologies such as X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Angular and JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java
  • Experience with implementing Java scripting to support automation across the various modules

in ServiceNow

  • Experience with REST and SOAP web service protocols
  • Experience with Business Rules, Workflow, Identification Rules, Workspaces and External Portals
  • Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP
  • Specialized ServiceNow Developer Certifications, including ITSM, HAM, SAM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, TRM/APM or HR
  • Project Management or Agile certification
  • ITILv4 Foundations Certification
  • Ability to work in a high growth, fast paced environment

Pay Range $104,650.00 – $189,175.00
