Job Description

As a Senior Software Developer for Data Solutions at JCI, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. This position requires a solid understanding of programming languages, software development methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

How you will do it:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications that support data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Utilize programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python to build scalable software applications.
• Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept through delivery and support.
• Ensure software solutions are robust, secure, and maintainable.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on software development best practices.
• Remain current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in software development, particularly with data-centric applications.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with database technologies, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
