Responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment and production support of custom created proprietary systems. Serve as a subject matter expert in assigned application.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze existing applications, continuously update applications into more user friendly models, and appropriately code all information
Responsible for all initial testing, support testing, deployment, and production support of assigned application
Utilize Microsoft .Net framework, SQL, and other systems to develop and maintain high-quality software products
Work in collaboration with offshore team to achieve various deliverables
Understand software processes and procedures requirements at each stage of the software product life cycles
Lead smaller development teams while training and mentoring less experienced associates
Maintain assigned applications (may include BCTA, Data Mart, etc.)
Actively participate with team members of different applications to network and share best practices when developing and improving applications
Review existing software documentation and update or create new documentation when necessary.

Bachelor’s Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
10+ years of Application Development Experience
5+ years of Database Design and Analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with leading developers, including offshore developers
Proven experience with accounting applications, particularly the BCTA application
Strong experience using C# and MS SQL Server
Works independently with little supervision
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle requirements and best practices, including appropriate separation of duties and data security practices
Knowledge of the Insurance Industry
Experience in Data Management
Knowledge of the insurance and escrow functions of leading mortgage servicing systems
