Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide technical and digital support for decisions for the Aircraft Carrier Engineering Team 

  • Research digital solutions and determine cross Program office solutions.  

  • Demonstrate and exercise a thorough knowledge of Navy network architecture. 

  • Demonstrate and exercise a thorough knowledge of Digital Engineering principles, policies, and standards 

  • Recommend improvements to for daily workflows.   

  • Review technical documentation and provide recommendations for improvements

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering), with twelve (12) years or more of relevant computer engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation; experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities).

  • Expertise at the Program Office level in strategic planning, coordination, and strong understanding of senior and flag level support, including new IT program initiatives.

  • Experience related to the identification, analysis and resolution of complex systems involving the modernization and integration of US Navy systems.

  • Experience with Government Equipment Management System (GEMS) and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) System.

  • Experience with Overhauling digital capabilities and processes by upskilling workforce, sunsetting legacy applications, and modernizing capabilities.

  • Familiarity with DoD/DON Policies and Procedures related to computer system engineering processes.

Preferred skills:

  • Expert working knowledge of SQL, DAX, JSON, HTML, PowerBI, SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud.

  • Active certifications for AZ-900 (Azure Cloud), CLF-C01 (AWS Cloud), and PL-900 (Power Platform).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Current and Active secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
