Senior Vice President – Network Contracting and Recruiting – Dental – Telecommute

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight for more than 200 Dental employees, with national accountability for recruiting 10K+ dental providers annually across the Commercial (PPO and DHMO), Medicare and Medicaid segments

  • Close partnerships across leadership in the Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid segments to establish and continue to manage recruitment priorities

  • Responsible for continued progress in net effective discounts, SG&A management and other affordability initiatives, to meet a target of at least $15M in affordability annually

  • Development and contract oversight of all leased network relationships, with a focus on continuing to expand partnerships for rapid network growth

  • Accountability for continued Provider NPS improvements through quarterly provider meetings with key stakeholders, provider surveys, provider service improvements, etc.

  • Responsible for all Provider operations, including provider service team, credentialing and re-credentialing at NCQA standards, implementation of all networks for Government expansions, resolution of any claims or payment issues, oversight for all leased network contracts, etc.

  • Oversight for all reporting and analytics to senior leadership teams, to show continued progress against national benchmarks in network growth, discount improvement, affordability measures and overall health of the network

  • Close collaboration with UHC clinical services team to deliver additional affordability measures through Utilization Management, Payment Integrity, Provider Quality, and Fraud Waste and Abuse initiatives

  • Develop strong relationships with and represent the Dental organization through external partnerships with the NADP, ADA, and various Board of Director roles in Dental schools

  • Assessment of strategic Dental Services Organization (DSO) partnership opportunities, to assess care delivery opportunities

  • Add travel requirements for the role

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years in the healthcare industry, some Dental and/or Vision experience 

  • Dental / Healthcare contracting and/or Operations experience

  • 5+ years of  experience in leading and building large and diverse teams, network development, vendor contracting and oversight, operations, servicing and reporting

  • 5+ years working in a highly matrixed leadership environment

  • Strong executive leadership presence, with ability to manage network prioritization process across segment leadership, and communicate goals along with coordination across all leased partners, key DSOs, external organizations

  • Previous experience managing a large organization – 200+ employees

  • Previous Medicare /  Medicaid experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA strongly preferred
