Senior Lead Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a lead full-stack developer to become an integral part of our software team! Our mission is to create web and mobile applications that are elegant, responsive, and performant across multiple device platforms as part of our IoT software offerings. You will be tasked with the design, implementation, and maintenance of our frontend HTML, CSS, and JavaScript architecture and backend for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IoT software stack and participating in the full software development cycle.

The ideal candidate is someone with a keen interest in learning new technologies, taking ownership of software products and processes, and strive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software team, you will work closely with product management to ensure that our software product is delivered in a timely manner with the requisite high quality.
You will be building reliable, and highly functional frontend solutions with the latest web technologies and frameworks, as well as delivering proof-of-concept software prototypes for our business team.
You will be building scalable, reliable, and highly available server solutions, designing and scaling databases, as well as delivering proof-of-concept software prototypes for our business team.
You may be required to work with operations and to demonstrate the skills to perform multi-factor problem analysis to identify and resolve software issues
Minimum requirements

Bachelors of Mathematics or Science majoring in Computer Science or equivalent
3-5+ years experience building web applications with exposure to service-based architectures
Strong working knowledge of one or more of the following JavaScript frameworks: React, Angular 2+, and React Native
Strong working knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript
Experienced with building maintainable, scalable, and responsive CSS with modern frameworks such as Flexbox
Experienced with Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, or other web build systems
3-5+ years experience with Java or an equivalent OOP language
1+ years experience with Python
Strong understanding of server design patterns and enterprise integration patterns
Proficient in database design and optimization as well as building a distributed database solution with RDBMS and/or NoSQL Databases.
Knowledge with CI/CS and working experience with Jenkins and/or Docker with Kubernetes
Experienced in managing and developing for AWS (EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch)
Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments with changing priorities
Preferred qualifications

Strong proficiency in UX design and responsive layout with extensive experience in building wireframes and UX prototypes
Experienced in Data visualization and BI tools such as Grafana or Tableau
Experienced with Google Map API, D3.js, Chart.js
Experienced with Python
Experience with working with AWS
Experienced with the Play Framework and Akka as well as Reactive programming
Experienced with messaging backend such as Kafka and MQTT
Experience with security in cloud-based environments (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
Experienced in Serverless Computing on the cloud
