ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented ServiceNow Business Analyst to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within our ServiceNow platform. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of ServiceNow solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and focus groups.
- Translate business needs into clear functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with ServiceNow teams to design and prototype solutions aligned with business goals and best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within ServiceNow.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional design specifications (FDS), process flows, and user guides.
- Support testing (including user acceptance testing (UAT)) and deliver user training on new ServiceNow functionalities.
- Stay current with ServiceNow capabilities and advocate for best practices and continuous platform improvement.
- Local travel may be required between customer buildings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, and 9+ years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 13+ years.
- Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for enterprise-level applications.
- Hands-on experience with various ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, GRC, SecOps).
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform architecture and capabilities.
- Familiarity with ITSM best practices (ITIL certification preferred).
- Ability to understand and interpret technical concepts and translate them into business language.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (Highly Recommended).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in [Specific modules like ITSM, CSM, HRSD, etc.].
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification.
- Experience with other business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic understanding of scripting (JavaScript), integrations (REST/SOAP), and reporting within ServiceNow is a plus.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint.)
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 75% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
