What you will be doing

ITSM Architect plays a pivotal role in defining IT Service Management roadmap, aligning it with Technical Architects across IT Domain, securing their support for and collaborating on key deliveries with members of Infrastructure Transition and Controls team. ITSM Architect is an individual who can manage the complexity and conflicting priorities coming from a wide variety of stakeholder groups in a large corporate environment.

Successful candidate should have some experience working as a ServiceNow Developer, Business Analyst or an Architect (preferred), understand ITSM/ITIL v4 and have a proven track record on influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization. We are embarking on a journey of materially maturing our CMDB and all core ITSM practices. You will be at the forefront of our success in delivering world class ITSM to an organization of 45000+ colleagues whilst making sure that our budget and time is prioritized for enhancements yielding the best value for Cencora.

You need to be action biased with ability to clearly see big picture and ultimate long term deliveries with proven capability to segment it down to iterative changes and quick wins to prove value of our work all along the way.

    What your background should look like 

    Experience and educational requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or a related field or equivalent work experience.

    • Typically has a minimum of 6 years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and strong leaning toward operations.

    • Requires exposure to multiple, diverse infrastructure and network technologies and processing environments.

    • Desire to work in an operational (run based) environment

    • Experience troubleshooting complex issues across multiple infrastructures and technologies

    • Experience providing a constructive approach toward technology improvements even when they are outside their typical scope of responsibility

    • Experience leveraging infrastructure tools to help diagnose infrastructure and/or application issues

    • Approach solutions with a curios and innovative approach

    • Not afraid to challenge the status quo

    • Able to provide technical leadership across globally diverse, allowing the regional teams enough of autonomy to resolve incidents while maintaining consistency across all regions

    • Works well in matrixed environment

    • Provides investigatory approach, working well with limited information or ambiguity

    • Seeks out methods for automation to reduce repeatable work

    • Expected to be able to evaluate existing state and implement change to improve stability in technical environment

    • Must be able to influence others that are not under direct supervision and in different departments

    • Must be comfortable presenting to senior level management

    • Must relish continuous improvement and drive positive change across areas that may not be under direct supervision

    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    Minimum skills, knowledge, and ability requirements:

    • Proficient communication skills and experience in mentoring/leading teams

    • Ability to translate complicated business requirements into multiple solution options and explain the pros/cons of various approaches

    • At least 8 years of experience

    • Ability to influence others that are not direct reports or within the same department

    • Ability to lead small technical teams for short durations

    • Ability to work across application and infrastructure areas

    • Ability to “translate” technical jargon within IT and to non-IT team members

    • Ability to build presentations and business cases and present to senior executives and non IT associates IT
