The Opportunity

This position works out of any USA Abbott location, preferably at our Abbott Park Illinois location in the Global Information Systems division.  

As the ServiceNow Senior Developer, you’ll have the chance to work as part of Abbott’s core ServiceNow platform team. The team is a dynamic, high pace, large team environment supporting a large-scale global ServiceNow implementations. 

As a Senior ServiceNow Integration Developer at Abbott Laboratories, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex integrations between ServiceNow and various third-party systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable integration solutions.  Daily activities will have you focus on ServiceNow integrations development and own the ServiceNow Integration Hub application (pre-built automation actions and sub-flows for integrations). Activities will also include implementing multiple integrations to 3rd party systems using Integration Hub actions and maintaining them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using ServiceNow Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON and other integration technologies.  Coordinate with the integrations process owner to write and groom stories

  • Collaborate with business analysts, integrations process owner, infrastructure architects and other stakeholders to gather and refine integration requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring system stability and data accuracy.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers and team members as needed

  • Stay up to date with ServiceNow platform updates, best practices, and industry trends.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with a focus on integration.

  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow Integration Hub and experience with REST, SOAP, and other integration protocols such as JSON and UML scoping

  • Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

  • ServiceNow certification(s) is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills

  • Familiar of the Agile methodology and software development

  • Work comfortability conducting workshops or meetings as needed with business stakeholders to gain desired outcomes.

The base pay for this position is $80,700.00 – $161,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
