Job Description

The Boeing Company is seeking a high performing Software Developer to support a strategic enterprise program within our HR IT space in Saint Louis, MO.

Ideal candidates will have experience developing software using agile frameworks (Scrum, TDD, CI/CD) and various software architectures (layered, microservices). The work will vary in support of technology obsolescence, development of new solutions, and establishment of data services and/or integrations. Job requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Other qualities for this candidate are a positive attitude, self-motivated, the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Good communication skills are needed both verbally and written, to interact with peers and customers. Job requires the ability to work well with others on a team as well as independently.

Position Responsibilities:
Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design
Documents, validates, and researches reported problems
Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality
Design, program, and execute test plans
Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience with Java and/or .NET/C#
1+ years developing/implementing small and/or large scale applications
1+ years Database and SQL knowledge/experience
Familiarity with SQL Server or Oracle
Strong communication skills
Experience with web technologies: Javascript, AJAX, JSON, CSS, HTML
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with DataStage and ETL Tools
Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and Test Driven Development practices
Experience with automated build and testing tools
Experience with Data conversions
Experience with Microservices and SOA
Experience with ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tools (e.g. Team Foundation Server, GitLab, JIRA, VersionOne)
Cloud application development (AWS, Azure, CF)
Typical Education/Experience:
Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
This position is located in Saint Louis, MO and does not offer relocation assistance. Applicants must reside in area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
