Leidos is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team supporting the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). In this role, you will work on creating a new workflow using AWS Services and implement new external interfaces using Python programming, while providing onsite support for troubleshooting and system configuration.

This position is a Hybrid role and will require onsite support in our Gaithersburg, MD office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain external interfaces in Python.
  • Frontend development using React for creating user interfaces that integrate with AWS services.
  • Create backend AWS services using React

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in software development and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficient in React programming, with hands-on project experience.
  • Proficient in Python programming, a plus.
  • Understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Backend AWS services to support application functionality.
  • Ability to be cleared by the US Government via a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current MBI clearance to meet security requirements.
  • Prior IRS experience, providing insight into governmental operations and compliance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, enhancing foundational knowledge.
  • Unix C/C++ programming skills for system-level tasks.
  • Familiarity with RedHat systems, version control using GitLab, and writing SQL queries for database management.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance, similar to a Public Trust, prior to start.
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) with at least three consecutive years of U.S. residency, from the date of legal entry, as an LPR and be Federal Tax compliant.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 – $117,500.00
