Our organization is designing and building the Flight Control Electronics hardware and software future Boeing airplane models. This position is located in St Louis, Missouri. Over the product lifecycle, we develop systems from the conceptual stage with high-level requirements to specific architectures and parts producing specific functionality. Various analysis tools and methods including modeling and simulation are used to mature the system definition which includes the functional and physical integration of the system and components into complex aircraft. The team also has responsibility for new technology development to ensure that Boeing continues to lead the industry with the most advanced technology for flight control electronic systems. Position Responsibilities: This person will develop real-time flight software. Develop utilities that automate significant portions of the software development and verification process. The candidate will also integrate and compile software components into builds and test in the target environment. Perform trouble shooting of defects and proposes solutions to problems Experience in executing the test procedures and documenting test results are desirable. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team and leading a team. It will include on-the-job training across multiple roles and functions. Typical Education/Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor’s 14 or more years’ experience, Master’s with 12 or more years’ experience or PhD with 9 or more years’ experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
