A company within aviation data analytics is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to oversee two teams of engineers. Both teams are software engineering heavy with a focus in data. These teams support the development lifecycle for airline data within Schedules, Connections and Ticketing.

These teams are building a new platform using modern, scalable technologies. This system will allow data specialists to manage data pipelines by ingesting flight schedule and connections data from over 800 airlines to produce a global schedule product. This team is currently taking a legacy Oracle system and building a replacement system that processes these airline schedules across the globe.

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Software Engineering and will be based in Alpharetta, GA.

Experience within the travel or aviation industry
10+ years of Software Engineering experience and at least 4+ years of Managerial experience

Proven success managing developers in an Agile/Scrum Environment

Technical background with implementing JS libraires such as Jquery or React and Java/. Net

Understanding of cloud architecture and system design specifically

Knowledge in data modeling principles and application to business needs

Strong organization, time management and delegation skills
