Overview

As the Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs as required, to support the technical capabilities at Cox Automotive. This includes both the development of new programs and maintaining existing programs. In the role of Software Engineer, you will be expected to deliver timely responses to production issues, taking ownership of effectively seeing these issues through resolution. Description
Manheim, a Cox Automotive brand is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team in Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody). The Software Engineer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of web and mobile based software applications as required, to support the program goals at Manheim.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with a team of software engineers developing a full stack web application utilizing Agile methodologies. Development work encompasses front-end UI, backend server, and connections with other internal services. A successful Software Engineer will help the team to plan and execute the design of the system, promote a culture of learning and experimentation, work within and guide an empowered team as well as mentor less senior team members.

Your Role:
Mentor less senior team members
Collaborate with team members to execute deliverables
Participate in on call rotation and troubleshoot production issues
Cultivate our culture of sharing ideas, practices and solutionsQualifications
Skills & Experience (minimum):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
1+ years development experience in several Object Oriented languages like Java and Ruby
Expresses self-motivation; doesn’t require specific direction to get work done
Demonstrates belief in experimentation and trying new solutions
Builds strong relationships with our business partners
Embraces the role of stakeholder of our product
Actively participates in a culture of testing
Employs or willing to participate in Agile or Lean mindset and values
