About the Job

Cox Automotive is a leading provider of digital marketing, wholesale, and e-commerce solutions for the automotive industry. We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic ModelOps Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage onshore, near-shore, and off-shore resources, while coordinating with data scientists and engineering teams across multiple brands and teams within Cox Automotive.

As a Software Engineer II at Cox Automotive you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable Platform for ModelOps hosted on AWS.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate data science models with their systems.
  • Build and optimize various cloud services, including EKS, ECS, S3, Lambda, and SNS/SQS, Event Bridge, MSK, etc.,
  • Deploy via continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, GitHub, and GitHub Actions to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Experience on dataiku or similar tool is desirable.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform engineering ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Strong understanding on monitoring tools like NewRelic, Splunk, Cloudwatch and implement dashboards and configure alerts
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate data platforms with other systems and services.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance the team's technical capabilities.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years experience OR 6 years experience equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform, CFT, Github Actions and Python
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS (EKS, Event bridge, MSK, S3, Lambda, SNS/SQS).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and tools, with proficiency in GitHub
  • Working experience in unit, functional and integration testing
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in platform upgrades, troubleshooting,incident management and problem management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Nice to Have :

  • Experience working with datalike or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of streaming data processing technologies.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, particularly Snowflake.

USD 85,500.00 – 128,300.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $85,500.00 – $128,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
