JOB TITLE: Software Engineer II — Coupa
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director Financial Information Systems
JOB SUMMARY: The Software Engineer’s main responsibility is for the support and maintenance of a variety of financial information systems, primarily Coupa. The Software Engineer is responsible for both issue troubleshooting and project facilitation with our finance initiatives. Issue troubleshooting can include production issues, functionality that isn’t behaving as expected, new facility integration, among others. Project facilitation can include implementation, testing and deployment of new enhancements, new functionality, integrations, and upgrades of existing modules, functionality, and applications. Additionally, relationship management of both internal and external customers and peers is a core requirement to being an effective member of the Surgery Partners IT Financial Information Systems team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and configure Coupa modules, including Purchasing, Invoicing, InvoiceSmash, Coupa Pay and Supplier Portal.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and approval hierarchies.
- Configure business rules, approval workflows, and system settings in accordance with organizational policies.
- Provide day-to-day support for users across the organization.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with Coupa and Coupa partner support teams as needed.
- Maintain master data in Coupa, including suppliers, chart of accounts, users.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of integration between Coupa and ERP.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Finance teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Develop and manage reports and dashboards within Coupa.
- Update cube views for changes.
- Review and correct error logs.
- Maintain transformation rules.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Computer Science, or Business-related field from an accredited university.
- COUPA Certification is preferred.
- Certifications from other accrediting bodies will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Coupa Administrator, Coupa Implementation Consultant, or in a similar procurement systems role.
- Solid knowledge of Coupa configuration, modules and system administration.
- Experience with ERP system integrations.
- Experience with ERP applications is a plus but not required.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team environment.
