Job Description BAE Systems is looking for talented Junior Level Software Engineers who are looking for a company that fosters a work environment in which technical excellence is highly valued. You will be an integrated team member collaborating with System, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Design, Development, and Testing. You will apply your skills to develop high-quality real-time embedded software for either new or fielded electronics platforms. As part of our standard rotation program for junior engineers you will get a breadth of experience and increase your skill sets. You can expect to rotate to a new program which could be at a different site in Nashua*, New Hampshire and it could be in a different business area. These rotations will occur on an approximately annual basis for the first few years of your career at BAE Systems. You will be exposed to the full software life-cycle from requirements development through integration and testing.
Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification of complex Radar Warning and/or Electronic Attack software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems. You will perform real-time, embedded software development in C++ utilizing sound Object Oriented principles and conforming to existing code development strategies and processes. You will be assisting in the evaluation of complex Radar Warning and/or Electronic Attack software designs to identify design flaws. You will utilize a Linux based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from PowerPC to Micro Blaze to the latest technologies. You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.
You will provide reporting to Software Project Management and may provide updates to Program Management. You may contribute to proposals and occasionally brief customers on technical concepts.
* BAE System’s Nashua sites are within 10 minutes drive of each other. Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education Requires:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Science, or other Scientific degree with suitable software engineering content, with 2+ years of experience or Master’s degree in same with 0-2 years experience.
Must be a US Citizen and hold a secret clearance or higher.

– QT (preferred)
