Job Description For our Engineering Location in Auburn Hills we search for dynamic and motivated people to join our Chassis & Safety division.

The Software Function Owner plans, conducts, tracks and controls the software function within a software development project. The Software Function Owner is the main interface to the Software Project Manager and Customer and is responsible for the successful conduct of the software function in terms of time, efforts and quality.

Core Responsibilities:

– Technical lead of a software function development as Communication, Diagnostics, Error Management, Cyber Security

– Effort estimation and time scheduling in coordination with the Software Project Manager

– Tracking of the software function project’s progress, project controlling and project reporting

– Ensuring conformity to processes

– Contribution to the project’s risk management
Requirements clarification with internal and external customers

Job Requirements Basic Qualifications:
** Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
** 1+ years professional experience as a lead engineer with electronic products or systems
** Experience in active safety electronic systems or other safety electronic products
** Proficient knowledge of software development lifecycle
** Confirmed project management skills (including effort / cost estimation, project planning, monitoring, risk management)
** Strong communicator with experience interacting internally and externally on a global level
** Basic knowledge about the Product Life Cycle
** Basic understanding of engineering
** Willingness to travel (
