Solution Architect, Lead
Serve as a business development solution architect to identify, qualify, and prosecute growth opportunities across the accounts in support of the BD COE. Leverage significant experience with identifying and shaping opportunities, defining and developing highly technical and complex solutions, and achieving growth for US government departments or agencies. Leverage experience with federal government business development and a highly technical solutioning background to operate strategically at the enterprise level, including interacting with Department or Agency-level senior executives. Drive technically complex solutions and acquisition or technical-lead client call plans and other outreach efforts to qualify and inform bid or no bid decisions. Lead solution architecture activities during solution ideation, capture solution design, prototype development, as necessary, and RFI or RFP responses.
-6+ years of experience in a business development role with annual revenue or sales targets at a major federal government contractor focused on technology services sales
-5+ years of experience with demonstrating successful strategies for revenue and margin growth in the federal civilian healthcare marketplace, including data science solutions
-Experience with business development from the entire business development cycle through contract award
-Experience as a subject matter expert in one or more of the following: software development or architecture, C4ISR or electronics design, aerospace or aeronautics, Cybersecurity, systems engineering, or physics
-Experience with leading highly technical pursuits, analyzing and refining processes, and establishing and maintaining business relationships
-Knowledge of engineering program management and execution
-Ability to work as part of an integrated account and opportunity capture team within a matrixed organization where collaboration and a team-centric culture are paramount for success
-Active Secret clearance required
-BS degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Science
-Experience with technical organization leadership, operation process, and sales and marketing across a broad range of cultures and industries
-Experience with engineering design and development in an academic or professional environment, including OEM preferred
-Knowledge of the US government’s acquisition process
-Ability to possess industry relationships, including a demonstrated record of success in leveraging these relationships for opportunity wins
-Ability to work in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team
-Ability to coordinate, collaborate and lead responsibly with minimal oversight
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking, writing and oral and written presentations
-Top Secret clearance preferred
