Sr. Application Support Engineer – Corporate Systems

Engineer will be responsible for supporting Belk Corporate application
platforms including any 3rd party integrations. The role would require
partnering with peers, business stakeholders, software & services provider, and
colleagues from within and outside the application support team to monitor,
maintain and support the application, analyze and troubleshoot the production
problems, and perform minor and major enhancements.

Essential_Functions
* Work collaboratively with IT and Corporate business team members to
resolve the production issues in Corporate HR – Workday, Reflexis WFM
product suite and Corporate FIN Lawson etc.
* Troubleshoot production issues of different criticalities with
appropriate urgency and maintain the HR and FIN applications uptime as
per defined SLAs
* Perform incident resolution against established SLAs and ensure proper
documentation (SOP) of the solution procedure
* Support production deployments, break-fixes, patches, and releases
* Round the clock commitment to maintain the application availability
against business SLAs
* Proactively identify, diagnose, take corrective action and resolve
application system incidents and problems
* Participate in planning sessions regarding application, hardware and
software changes
* Actively engaged in pre- and post- implementation reviews
* Perform & oversee the troubleshooting, bug fixing, testing, and
production deployment activities
* Prepare SOP s for recurring issues and integrations to applications t
support business processes and requirements
* Perform & oversee development and testing for major and minor
enhancements
* Handle service request and fulfill business and product support requests
* Prepare and execute unit/system test scripts to verify business logic of
new or modified programs
* Technical handover of new applications/enhancements from Project team to
Production Support
* Collaborate closely with IT team and 3rd party vendors to understand the
product architecture and design and as warranted submit change requests
for system improvements
* Document, communicate and escalate technical issues to upstream and
downstream application support teams, manage to resolution and articulate
business impact
* Prepare and communicate support statuses to IT management.

* Minimum_Education_&_Experience_Requirements
o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
o 10+ years of total IT experience
o 6-8 years experience as System Analyst or other similar
technology position
o 6+ years of consulting or participation in implementing large-scale
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution Suite
o Extensive experience working on any ERP (Workday/PeopleSoft/Lawson
HR / Finance / CRM) solution which includes but not limited t
3rd party integrations and core HR functions and NA payroll
o Experience working with 3rd party software vendors, consultants/
contractors and working with off shore providers
o Experience with systems development methodologies, definition,
systems design, development and systems testing
o Good verbal, written and communication skills with strong
presentation skills
o Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
o Strong working experience in supporting in Dual (Onsite / Offshore)
shore model
o Extensive support, development, upgrade and troubleshooting
experience
o Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal
skills with ability to interact with individuals at all levels

* Knowledge_/_Skills_Requirements
o Experience in Production Support, Maintenance and Enhancement of HR
solutions in below technology areas: Workday / PeopleSoft HR /
Finance / CRM solutions / Mention WFM and/or Time and Attendance
systems
o Customization for UI enhancement using Workday Studio, People code,
Integration Broker or any other integration tool etc.
o Understanding of Core HR functions, Benefits, NA Payroll, Time and
Labor, e-learning, Hiring and talent acquisition, and FIN functions
like AP, GL, AR, Billing, etc.
o Mainframe and/or AS400 experience.
o Extensively experience on Workday Studio, Integration Broker
configuration (for both publication and subscription contract
messages), consuming web services (WSDLs), creating new application
packages and shall have worked on synchronous interface using REST
services.
o Good understanding and working knowledge of Relational databases –
Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL- PL/SQL Scripting, Database Tuning
o Exposure and working experience on XML, XML Schema, Web services
(Rest and SOAP)
o Good understanding and experience working with Scripting tools
o Integration experience with Third Party Applications including
Stores, CRM and Financial systems
o Good understanding and experience working with Operating Systems
like Linux, and Windows
o Agile methodology experience
o Strong experience in any reporting tool like BI publisher, Crystal
report, Cognos etc
