JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for leading the analysis, design and implementation of the overall systems data architecture of marketing data management.  Identify and document data in existing systems.  Contribute to design of the marketing data architecture to reduce data redundancy, increase data reusability, and enhance data integrity.  Develop data models for shared operational data store, data warehouse and data marts.  Develop meta data to provide thorough, clear definitions of data.  Lead the development of new logical and physical data models to ensure new databases integrate appropriately with the marketing data architecture and other subject area models. Assists in research and development activities related to the marketing data environments, coordinating efforts across the Enterprise. 

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Data Integration: Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, clean, and integrate data from various marketing platforms, including but not limited to CRM, web analytics, advertising platforms, and social media.
  • Data Warehousing: Design and maintain a marketing data warehouse to store structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility.
  • ETL Processes: Create and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading of marketing data into the data warehouse.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models that support marketing reporting, analysis, and visualization needs.
  • Data Governance: Implement data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Data Quality Assurance: Monitor data quality, proactively identify and resolve data quality issues, and establish data validation processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines and database performance to ensure fast and efficient data access for marketing analysts and other stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights to improve marketing strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of data pipelines, data models, and data transformation processes.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and tools related to data engineering and marketing analytics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8 years experience in data wrangling, implementation and analysis of marketing platforms.
  • 5-8 years experience in IT design, development, implementation and support functions.
  • Previous DBA experience (SQL Server or Oracle).
  • Previous data warehouse and/or decision support management experience, including data modeling specifically targeted to the data warehouse and decision support environments.
