The Sr Manager serves in a leadership position managing a team of support leads/managers and engineers, that are primarily responsible for production operations of the data platforms, tools and reporting environments.  The individual is responsible for managing enterprise data platforms and work closely with cross functional business, IT teams and vendor partners in a highly dynamic, fast paced and rewarding environment



  • Provide operational support for production data pipelines execution and reports and troubleshoot the issues of enterprise data platforms including data warehouses and reporting environments. Also administers tools and technologies including licensing and working with vendors for support.
  • Stakeholder management across business, IT, and core RunOps team members
  • Ensure and maintain high customer satisfaction by providing best operational services with timely and accurate responses
  • Collaborating with data architecture, data management, and data domain teams
  • Be on top of major incidents, utilization stats, performance of data pipelines, and service requests, to identify quality improvement opportunities and stability of the platform health.
  • Supporting Operational Data Quality (DQ) efforts including DQ checks and providing DQ metrics via Dashboards/Reports to Data Governance and business community.
  • Interact with infrastructure, release management, change management, QA, application and incident management teams.
  • Provide regular status reports to management on application status and other metrics.
  • Improve all KPIs through ITIL best practices, quality monitoring, and workforce optimization.
  • Collaborate with management to improve and customize KPIs related to production support.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve communication, team engagement and coordination around incident management and to reduce business impact.
  • Prioritize issues raised and resolve in a timely manner meeting the defined SLAs.
  • Coordinate escalation and resolution of major service issues.
  • Report promptly to management and business partners regarding critical outages until resolution.
  • Manage offshore, outsourced vendor to an SLA and execution of critical situations.
  • Allocate resources to resolve problems/incidents.
  • Implements resource plans, including conducting recruitment interviews. Facilitates selection, assessment and on-boarding processes, and internal resource allocation.  
  • Supervises individuals by allocating routine tasks and/or project work. Provides direction, support and guidance as necessary, in line with individuals’ skills and abilities. Monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.  



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or equivalent professional experience
  • 16+ years of IT experience in data lakes, data warehouses and BI platforms development with at least 5 years in managing production operations. Having DataOps experience will be a plus.
  • 5 years’ experience managing technology teams including onshore/offshore vendor partners.
  • Experience in managing production operations of a cloud data platform is a must.
  • Must have implemented solutions to derive operational insights, creating operational dashboards and communicating performance metrics to leadership?
  • Experience with Data Observability / Cloud FinOps a plus.
  • Strong experience in design, development and operationalization of large-scale enterprise data solutions on-prem and cloud.
  • GCP experience using tools such as Big Query, GCS, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub preferred but open to consider other cloud platforms experience.
  • Experience with event-based sourcing and event streaming, specifically with technologies like Kafka, Spark and GCP Pub/Sub.
  • Experience in data ingestion frameworks, data pipelines, DataOps, and cloud-based infrastructure for data platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience in Talend/Python, etc., ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Expertise in data centric security architecture concepts and open standards
  • Excellent analysis/troubleshooting skills, able to solve problems efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partners
  • Able to motivate others to drive desired results
  • Strong experience in establishing processes for operational efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to present recommendations to senior leaders for effective decision making
  • Flexibility of providing support during odd hours, weekends, and peak seasons.
