Sr. Java Developer,

As a Sr. Java Developer, you will make an impact by developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using React and Java. You will be a valued member of our dynamic team and work collaboratively with other collaborators.

In this role, you will

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality organization and automation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Work in an AGILE environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and governance standards.
• Develop solutions that manage financial risk effectively.
• Communicate effectively with collaborators to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

• Expert & hands-on 10+ years in Java, strong Springboot and full stack development experience
• Experienced in full lifecycle software
• Experienced working in Agile projects
• Experience in writing unit test cases and use cases and complete Unit testing,
• Mentor and assist junior member if required & provide support to QA and UAT test team & support Prod support, and work on critical issues from production.
• Capture & detail the non-functional requirements

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a Cognizant or client office in Toronto.
