***Essentially looking for a VERY Senior Java Developer who has experience working in Capital Markets and with Grid Computing.***

The open position is a Lead Specialty Software Engineer working on applications and enhancements to support regulatory reporting. The Developer will work in a team to create new risk processes, and to re-factor and in some cases completely re-architect and replace, large components of the existing application. The successful candidate will be expected to:

In this role, you will:

· Enhance Calypso-based risk services to support customized derivatives products (Credit, Interest Rates and CVA), pricers, interfaces and/or analysis

· Create custom tools using Calypso vendor software to aid users and/or comply with regulatory requirements

· Troubleshoot critical production problems using Calypso risk service and Market risk in-house applications

· Work directly with our partner teams to design robust solutions within Calypso from informal requirements

· Lead complex initiatives on selected domains

· Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost

· Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies

· Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature

· Ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met and work with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

· Mentor less experienced software engineers

· Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Desired Qualifications, US:

· BS/BA in computer science, applied statistics, quantitative economics, operations research or a relate

· Agile experience

· Knowledge and understanding of technology platform development including large scale technology in a capital markets environment

· Knowledge and understanding of technology performance: requirements and designing highly scalable solutions
Required Qualifications, US:

· 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

· 5+ years of Java experience

· 3+ years of risk and regulatory compliance experience

· 3+ years of cash or derivative products experience

· 5+ years of Object Oriented Design (OOD) experience

· 3+ years of SQL experience

· 3+ years of Grid computing experience

· 3+ years of Oracle Coherence development or implementation experience

· 3+ years of Calypso technology experience
