We are currently searching for a Senior Network Administrator in the Home Office of the Aerospace & Technology Region located in Tullahoma TN.

The purpose of this role is to provide support for the ongoing administration and maintenance of network devices in a complex LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities

– Advanced Network Troubleshooting, including network performance issues related to availability, utilization, throughput and latency.
– Routine configuration changes of firewalls, switching infrastructure, network diagnostic, network monitoring tools
– Support Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN).
– Maintain and create documentation of network standards, processes and procedures.
– Work closely with regional IT to determine future network needs and plan for network changes.
– Assist in the training of less experienced personnel and in the development of training material; review the work of others for conformance to established techniques procedures.
– Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
– Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) to fourteen (14) years of progressive, relevant experience, or an MS degree in a computer or system science discipline and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a computer or system science discipline and four (4) to seven (7) years of progressive experience.

Requires demonstrated technical expertise in engineering systems design and analysis.

– Network infrastructure implementation and administration of firewalls, routers and switches. Technical competency with Palo Alto and Cisco Networking technologies including: Cisco ASA / Palo Alto Firewalls, Firepower, Cisco Switches and Routers, Log and Packet analysis.
– Palo Alto ACE and PCNSE certification required
– Cisco CCNA and CCNP certification required
– Knowledge of network security protocols: SSL, SSL VPN, IDS and IPS
– Solid understanding of the principals of IP addressing, spanning-tree, OSPF and BGP routing, Layer 3 switching
– Strong written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills
– Excellent time management skills
– Palo Alto ACE and PCNSE certification required
– Cisco CCNA and CCNP certification required
– Experience with Cisco VoIP is a plus
– Experience to include latest Windows servers and client operating systems a plus

Nature of Position Challenges

Provide for a highly secure network while remaining transparent to the Customer.

Supervisory Guidance
Receive specific assignments from supervision; critical and unusual aspects of assignments are reviewed.

Supervision of Others (Direct and Indirect)
May direct and review work of less experienced and associate personnel.

Resources Impacted
Impact general network resource utilization and direct network related costs for assigned projects.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to work at a computer and desk. Must be able to navigate to offices, multiple sites, and locations. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers.

Work Environment
Normal Office Environment.
Equipment and Machines
Network devices such as Firewalls, Switches, Routers, as well as Computers and General Administrative Equipment (e.g. phone, computers, copiers, printers)

With the exception of approved leave and holidays, attendance is mandatory. This position is expected to be on-site during all regular business hours and be able to work overtime as required. This position will require occasional work on evenings and weekends with little notice.

Must be proficient and be able to read/write in English. Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Must have/maintain appropriate security clearance as may be required. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be willing to travel as-needed.
