PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
• Read and interpret Engineering drawings and technical documentation with understanding of Electrical/mechanical parts and products.
• Lead Supplier Quality Engineering early preventive activities including drawings requirements, risk assessment and mitigation, supplier audits and qualification activities, control plan development, inspection plan, and first article review.
• Analytical and problem-solving competency to drive performance results
• Uses dashboards and metrics to drive ongoing commodity performance continuous improvement.
• Lead and address any supplier-related corrective, preventive actions, and improvement, address the true and systemic root causes, and eliminate repeats.
• Applies quality methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g. 8D, SPC, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, Design for Six Sigma, Cost of Poor Quality, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, etc.) incrementally and throughout product development and release.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a preference to Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 3-5 years or more experience working in manufacturing; Quality systems engineering functions
• Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt (desirable)
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes
• Comprehensive knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA.
• Proficient at RCFA and problem-solving techniques (8D-5Why)
• Experience leading quality audits on suppliers to ensure products and services meet ISO standards.
• Lead Auditor Certified; ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 (desirable)
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write technical reports and presentations.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate the work of peers effectively.
