Sr. Systems Analyst
HighPoint is seeking to hire a knowledgeable and dynamic Data Warehouse Senior Systems Analyst. The major responsibilities include design, develop and validate data warehouse and analytics solutions per business user’s requirements.
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT preferred
6-8 years of related current work experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with Data Warehousing design, development, data analysis, and data refresh solutions
Experience writing complex queries
Experience with MS SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSIS), Structured Query Language (SQL) and Business Objects
Knowledge and/or experience with Red Gate and Visual Studio is a plus
This job requires interaction with customers, project managers and end-users. The ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing is critical
Design, develop and deploy data warehousing and analytics solutions per business user’s requirements
Create ad hoc queries or reports to address critical business needs
Design, develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views and stored procedures
Design and develop ETL components from source systems to the data warehouse
Analyze and remedy database and query issues, including performance related
Produce comprehensive documentation for all solutions developed
Conduct peer reviews and independent verification and validation of software solutions produced by other developers
Analyze data to understand gaps, inconsistencies and other quality issues, and devise data quality improvement solutions
Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc.Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time
