To continue leading Kohler’s data and analytics discipline within Strategic Sourcing, we are looking for a data analytics and tools developer to join our global team! This role sits at the intersection of Strategic Sourcing, data architecture, and governance, with responsibility for turning complex, fragmented data into trusted insights used by senior leaders across a global organization—supporting better category strategies, savings delivery, and risk‑informed decision making at scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain analytical tools and dashboards supporting sourcing, category strategy, savings tracking, supplier performance, and risk insights—including defining requirements with stakeholders and documenting intended (to-be) reporting capabilities.
- Assess and elevate implications of complex (and sometimes contradictory) data trends— including geopolitical and economic risks, cost optimization, and category strategy—and translate findings into clear, decision-ready insights for key stakeholders.
- Establish, enforce, and collaborate on data governance standards, definitions, and quality controls to ensure consistency and reliability across regions and departments (including Finance and Digital/IT); document requirements, maintain change control, and promote traceability from definitions to reporting outputs.
- Automate data collection and reporting where possible to reduce manual effort, improve scalability, and optimize work processes using accuracy/quality metrics and continuous improvement practices.
KEY SKILLS
- Uphold high ethical standards, and exercise unwavering integrity with all tasks, and communication.
- Ability to transform complex data for non-technical audiences, and accomplish effective data storytelling to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Customer focused – build consensus, collaborative relationships, and communicate effectively in the presence of multiple requests from customers.
- Champion data security and integrity and support process improvements to close
- Action Planning & Planning/Organizing: convert requirements into executable plans, prioritized backlogs, and delivery milestones.
- Documentation: create and maintain high-quality technical/user documentation and knowledge assets.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Manages Complexity: make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems and identify root causes.
- Optimizes Work Processes: use metrics/benchmarks to improve accuracy, quality, and efficiency; address process breakdowns promptly.
- Action Oriented: act with urgency on important issues; pursue opportunities that benefit the organization.
- Cultivates Innovation: create new and better ways of working; contribute and build on others’ ideas.
- Business Insight: apply knowledge of business and marketplace drivers to inform solutions and recommendations.
- Customer Focus: build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, analytics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, procurement analytics, data governance, or related roles.
- Hands‑on experience with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., ERP/SAP, Power BI, Excel, SQL/Azure, DataBricks, SharePoint, or similar platforms).
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, or similar processes.
- Experience with data security levels, SOX 404 controls, and supplier management platforms
- Investigate new software platforms and tools and recommend automated solutions for repetitive reporting.
