This position requires an Individual must be a critical thinker someone who can rapidly consume domain knowledge, be an effective communicator and able to create rapport with the customer. Must also be able to perform tasks of a high degree of complexity and difficulty with no supervision.
Individual will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing and day-to-day maintenance/trouble-shooting all aspects of the application. The application has a Java and web-based front end version running on web logic servers and an open-motif version running on Linux servers; both versions interact with an Oracle database. Individual will be responsible for maintaining multiple instances of both web and motif versions of the software. Selectee will be required to manage various system configuration settings directly in Oracle and be able to make immediate database changes to support user requirements.
The onsite representative must quickly become knowledgeable on system functionality, the domain-specific data, software configuration and analyzing log files. Excellent written and verbal skills are required to facilitate communication between the customer and the software developers and communicate any issues to the development team while also identifying possible solutions and/or workarounds for problems. We need an individual who will take responsibility, work hard, learn, and strive to become the application export the customer requires in order to adequately support their requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree required and 8-10 years of relevant technical experience.
Experience as a software/system tester, integrator, developer or support engineer
Hands on experience with basic SQL
Must have experience with Linux
Experience with WebLogic
Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Shell scripting
Knowledge of the USSTRATCOM MPAS applications
Knowledge of DGZ Construction planning
