Join a new and exciting opportunity to protect national security and provide premier mission focused IT services for a dynamic and growing program.  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD area.  In this role, you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems and manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.

  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

  • Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.

  • Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration. 

  • Configure and manage Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating systems software, troubleshoot , maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

  • Design, deploy and administer virtualized platforms, using VMWare.

  • Build, install and configure infrastructure related software.

  • The ability to troubleshoot higher-level problems  and resolve complex technical issues where documentation is either lacking or non-existent.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.  5 years of additional related experience may be substituted for a degree. 

  • 10+ years' of related experience.  

  • LINUX Experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is desired.

  • Understanding networking components is desired.

  • Scripting, VMWare, VDI, and Cisco HX experience.

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
