Monthly $6,140.07 – $7,675.10

Annually $73,680.88 – $92,101.21

DESCRIPTION: The Eugene Water & Electric Board is seeking a Systems Administrator with a robust set of skills to work in a diverse and complex technology environment supporting internal and external customers.

The Systems Administrator will:

• Manage GPO’s and a complex Active Directory.

• Design, maintain and consult for corporate file structure and services.

• Design, specify and build complex multi-server, line of business systems.

• Recommend improvements to the administration of EWEB’s Network Security.

• Design, build and maintain data protection and SAN infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Enterprise Applications, Exchange, SharePoint, and web tools. They will take initiative, be resourceful, have strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate and coordinate with teams to achieve common goals, able to apply project management methodologies to manage projects that have utility-wide impact. Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Requirements As A Qualification & Progression

Minimum Experience: Four years of progressively responsible experience in Local Area Network, server administration, and workstation hardware and software support. Experience must include one or more of the following areas: network design, development and management storage area network, virtualization, data protection and IP telephony systems and technologies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or related field with technical courses in Networks and other IT infrastructure, server and personal computer hardware, operating system software or other applicable technical education.

Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Preferred experience with technology from vendors: Microsoft, RedHat, NetApp, VMWare.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be qualifying. Valid driver license: Yes, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of appointment.

Professional license or registration: None.

Type and frequency of personal contact required (general public, customers, organizations, and EWEB employees): Daily personal and telephone contact with EWEB employees and regular contact with personnel from other organizations. Frequent contact with hardware/software vendors via their telephone customer support function.
