CGI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator that brings an Information Technology Operations Administration skills to the team to administer and support Cloud based client environments.

***Candidates within a 50 miles radius of a CGI Federal office (Fairfax, VA or Baltimore, MD) will have to report to the office 2 days per week***

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Deploy, configure, and maintain AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability
• Provide general systems administration support
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to implement scalable, cost-effective solutions
• Network Administration and Security
• Stay up to date with AWS best practices, new features, and conduct research
• Perform routine system backups, disaster recovery planning, and system upgrades
• Technical Documentation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Computer Science, IS/IT, Mathematics, or STEM related discipline
• Effective problem solver and multitasker, as it's not uncommon to wear multiple hats in one day. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in a Microsoft environment.
• Strong understanding for AWS services and architectures
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash and PowerShell
• Strong understanding and troubleshooting basic network concepts such as VLANs, Firewalls, VPN, and DNS, DHCP, and routing
• Experience in server, network, and endpoint security are desirable. Skills with databases, VMware, and Citrix are a bonus.
• Self-motivated individual, capable of independent work, but comfortable in a collaborative team setting.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personality types
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with customers, team members, and management
• Pro-active/self-starter – must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Exceptional attention to detail is required
• Must be dedicated to the role: punctual, self-confident, and completely dependable
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate is a plus

Desired Skills:
• AWS Services, RHEL, Splunk, SCCM, MySQL, Citrix, Python/Bash/PowerShell Scripting

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $83,900 – $146,800.
