This dynamic and fast-paced position is a great opportunity to work with modern, cutting-edge technology. We are looking for an innovative System Administrator who will help move Shoe Carnival's technology forward!

Summary:

The Systems Administrator oversees all aspects of the systems and network administration

including security, scheduling, maintenance, installations, upgrades, capacity planning and

troubleshooting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installs, configures, and maintains the organization's 140+ server infrastructure.
• Analyzes and resolves issues associated with system hardware and software.
• Installs, configures, and maintains the organization's network infrastructure.
• Analyzes and resolves issues associated with network infrastructure hardware and software.
• Installs, configures, and maintains the organization's communication systems.
• Analyzes and resolves issues associated with communication system hardware and software.
• Develops and maintains documentation pertaining to system configurations, system operation, network configurations, network operation and user documentation.
• Creates and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
• Researches and recommends new system and infrastructure technologies.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Technology and/or equivalent experience required.
2. 5 + years administration experience required.
3. Experience with multiple servers and 500 or more user environment is a plus.
4. Strong ability to analyze, identify, and understand critical issues and information to make informed business and training decisions.
5. Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, maintaining multiple projects on an on-going basis with shifting priorities. Must be able to easily embrace and manage change.
7. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
8. Candidates will support technical aspects including: Network Topology, Linux and Window Environments, VMware, 0365 Exchange Online, EMC Storage Technologies, NAS and SAN, Cisco Unified Communications, Switches, Routers, Firewall and IPS systems and SecurityTechnologies.
