Preferred Qualifications

At least three years of RDBMS/Oracle 10g work related experience. Proven work in data warehousing environments. Proficient in creating complex SQL for reports. Proven work experience with advanced PL/SQL objects such as pipelined functions, arrays, etc. Proven proficiency in database architecture/data modeling. Intermediate knowledge of SQL LEVEL performance tuning using hints and Database Level performance tuning. Working knowledge of GITHub versioning software. Proficient in data management and data analytics. Ability to build APIs to be consumed by Java tier. Experience creating SQLLoader to import large amounts of data. Knowledge of Healthcare data warehousing architecture.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will act as a lead database developer for the Bureau of HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Systems and Applications development team, overseeing technical leads, junior programmers, contractual staff and reporting directly to the Program Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for effective communication between end users, the database development team and DBAs to implement application systems to support Bureau and Department mission critical core functions.

The incumbent will be responsible for extensive, in depth knowledge of the bureau business need, have the ability to translate business needs to technical/architectural design and implement the technical design. The incumbent will lead the technical components of projects including but not limited to coding and configuration, debugging, documentation, testing and production support. The incumbent will act as lead role in performance enhancements related to large volume databases. Other related duties as assigned.
