HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of enterprise computers, mobile devices, and related IT equipment.
- Utilize a configuration baseline for mobile and desktop configurations to include patches, IAVA, operating systems, COTS, GOTS and in-house applications.
- Utilize Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Active Directory to troubleshoot and deploy images.
- Utilize mobile device management software to monitor, manage, and secure user mobile devices.
- Build and deploy mobile solutions based on customer requirements.
- Performs intense troubleshooting and problem resolution for multiple locations and networks.
- Performs Level 1 and Level 2 functions related to POTS phone devices and Cisco call management devices.
- Works with other IT professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, troubleshooting peripheral and hardware issues, resolve cross-team issues, communicates, and track changes for classified, unclassified, and special communications networks.
- Modifies group membership, user profiles, utilizes SCCM, Redhat Satellite and Active Directory to troubleshoot.
- Resolves and tracks incidents using a ticketing system.
- Works with the CRM and SharePoint Developers to assist in resolving content management and permission-related issues.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide configuration management, implementation, and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Implement IAVA security patches and ensure patch status is recorded in appropriate systems of record.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
- Configure and manage UNIX, Linux and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Communicate and coordinate with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Owner (ISO) regarding system changes as part of the Change and Configuration Management Process
- Support the ISO by completing the required milestones of Plan of Action & Milestones
- (POA&M)as directed and coordinate completion status with the ISSO to reflect status within the
- Source System of Record for Security Authorizations
- Ensure IT Assets remain compliant with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy.
- Provide Escalation problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification
- The CE certification requirements can be fulfilled with either Microsoft OS, Cent OS/Red Hat OS CE certifications
- Six (6) years of experience with Service Management (ITSM)
- Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, RedHat Satellite Privileged Account Management (PAM) Services, and MS Exchange
- Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling)
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- MS Windows 10/11 Operating System
- Windows Server 2016 or later
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 8 or later
- Microsoft Office 2010 or later
- Experience with personal computers, terminal, peripheral equipment and associated software repair, installation, configuration and system operation
- Experience with VPN technologies
- Experience with cloud platforms. IE AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Experience with Redhat Satellite
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing challenges.
- Effective communications and listening skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Jira Software for planning and tracking projects.
- Knowledge of the US Military, their network systems and infrastructure, processes and procedures, and request and approval tools.
- Skilled with and/or demonstrated technical aptitude with vulnerability and risk assessment tools such as Elasticsearch or Splunk SIEMs, ACAS (Nessus), and ESS (HBSS).
- Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 – $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
