Leidos Intelligence Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to support an enterprise IT program. The client requires a Systems Engineer to conduct Windows Service High Availability solution support and optimization.

A current and active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required for this position.  We do not have the ability to sponsor clearance processing for this role.

The client’s mission is to provide cutting edge language training that enables the client’s employees to be proficient in a wide range of languages. The client provides a variety of instructional formats including face-to-face, online, self-directed, and virtual learning. These services require design, deployment and maintenance support. The client’s infrastructure includes wireless environment, AWS Cloud environments with a team supporting all technical activities. 

The Systems Engineer will conduct Windows Service High Availability (HA) solution support and optimization. This may include;

• Microsoft Server optimization and load balancing
• Standardizing engineering practices, including system updates, patches, and backups
• Reviewing current infrastructure, cloud transformation and plans, data, application and security environments to help plan remediation, upgrade, cloud migration deployment or solution implementation
• Conducting and documenting Proof of Concepts, Design Reviews, and Cloud Success Planning and support software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, inventory, and reporting
• Creating accreditation artifacts, document Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) activities, submit A&A packages, and produce and maintain systems security plans to include CONOPS and SOPs
• Communicating IT requirements between management and technical entities and work closely with the client to gather requirements and advise on infrastructure design, development and deployment of Cloud resources
• Designing, testing and deploying Linux operating system baselines for AWS resources
• Designing, testing and implementing log aggregation in support of Cloud and AWS systems
• Designing, testing, and implementing search and visualization infrastructure in support of AWS systems
• Working with vendors to develop and deploy Cloud based solutions to the learning environment in AWS, liaison between the client and Vendor Contacts to troubleshoot AWS when deploying new resources, and recommend new technologies for use in the cloud environment (AWS)

Basic Qualifications

• Current and active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
• Bachelors degree and 12+ years of experience or Masters with 10+ years of experience
• Demonstrated experience managing Windows based servers
• Demonstrated experience with Windows Server 2012/2016; Windows system scripting technologies (JavaScript, Visual Basic Scripting)
• Demonstrated experience with Linux, Mac OSX, Apple IOS; Microsoft server/workstation technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy
• Demonstrated experience implementing and integrating AWS solutions
• Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements from vendor contacts and customers
• Demonstrated experience using Linux in the AWS environment
• Demonstrated experience with scripting and web programming technologies such as PHP, PERL, Java, Jscript or PowerShell
• Demonstrated experience deploying third party software products
• Demonstrated experience with Software Configuration Management (SCCM)
• Demonstrated experience working with desktop and network hardware

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with Mac-based devices
• Demonstrated experience with the client’s security governance procedures
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with the client’s security managers
• Demonstrated experience with the client’s systems and network accreditation process (A&A)
• Demonstrated experience with Management, IIS, Hyper-V, RIS, software deployment; Network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Standard

Pay Range:

Pay Range $118,300.00 – $213,850.00
