Test Engineer/Analyst
Position Description
We are hiring a Testing resource to join CGI in support of an innovative, fast paced federal Healthcare Agency. You will be responsible for creating test plans, test cases, and performing test execution on a critical healthcare system, deployed within a hospital environment. Testing will include testing of all business processes, 508 testing, performance testing, integration testing, staging/production testing and support for Government Acceptance Testing (GAT). This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Evaluates COTS and interfaces software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for solutions.
• Develops, modifies, and executes software/product test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
• Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
• Consults with COTS and CGI Engineers engineers in resolution of problems identified during testing.
• Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of computation, data, and processing.
• Work independently to document and update test plans and produce test summary reports for each software release and provide testing results to team leads.
• Design and provide specific scenarios for testing to ensure thorough Government Acceptance Testing and to ensure each scenario is labeled as pass or fail.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• The ability to work in the US indefinitely is required for this role (permanent residency or US Citizenship).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, and or direct experience in IT system testing, that demonstrates the above duties and responsibilities.
• Ń-5 years’ experience in either manual, automated, regression or performance testing. Should have experience with creating test plans, test cases, and performing test execution.
• Desired: Experience building a QA / Test function from the ground up.
• Ability to develop scripts to automate the QA/Test process.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $50,800.00 – $119,200.00.
