The Town of Flower Mound operates under a council-manager form of government. The Town Council is comprised of six members, including the Mayor, all elected at-large. The Town Council appoints a Town Manager to manage the daily operations of the organization and its 690+ employees.

12 Information Technology staff members oversee Information Technology-Management Information Systems (MIS) and Information Technology-Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions. This position directs all IT operations to meet customer requirements, as well as supports and maintains existing applications and develops new technical solutions. The IT Director is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of information security, as it relates to the Town’s privacy principles, policies, and practices.

The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, a minimum of 2-4 years’ management experience, and a minimum of 1-2 years of governmental IT experience. A master’s degree in information technology or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of relative knowledge and experience may be considered. A valid Texas driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with Town policy is required.

The Town of Flower Mound is offering a negotiable, competitive salary range of $140,255 – $163,634.
