Xerox IT Program Manager
Responsible for project management, leadership and execution of a portfolio of Information Technology projects/programs; and ensuring alignment with IT standards and strategies. Accountable to manage IT projects, programs and portfolios using industry based, IT EPMO defined and regionally governed PM methodologies, best practices, processes and tools across a number of PM functional areas. Responsibilities include managing project/program scope, time (schedule), integration, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk and procurement activities and other PM deliverables. Develops and maintains relationships with Business Unit leads and leadership teams to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and the value to be delivered for those projects and programs.
This individual will support the PMO Manager in successfully executing and guiding the projects and/or programs that are supported by the Business Unit PMO. The role holder will serve the PMO Manager in assisting with overall coordination of project portfolio data, leadership requests, and information required for PMOs. The role holder will support the PMO Manger in leading PMO Team Members (i.e., Project Analysts, Project Managers, Program Managers) and work with the PMO Leadership Team in the implementation and use of the XIM standard program/project management practices (procedures, processes, templates, tools) to support the planning and day-to-day execution of the programs and projects.
Responsible for coordinating the execution of the project portfolio within scope of the PMO, including management of project interdependencies to ensure smooth overall project/program execution in support of the PMO Manager
Supports PMO Manager in managing the day-to-day activities of the PMO, monitoring the demand for PMO services and resolve discrepancies between supply and demand
Ensures project managers have appropriately scoped, planned and resourced their respective efforts and that sponsors approve.
Leads the deployment and change management activities for new EPMO / PMO standards to the PMO; directly interfaces with EPMO Standards & Tool Manager; and EPMO Communication & Change Management Manager.
Leads the development and updating of key PMO enablers (e.g., Processes, SharePoint sites, Communication Plan, Organization Charts, Change Request Log, etc.), as directed by the PMO Manager.
Monitors areas of significant program risk in conjunction with the Leadership Team, manages PMO level and escalated project issues to resolution and provides advice to PMO Mgr for decisioning.
Ensures that all necessary project management deliverables are completed consistently and in sufficient detail to provide for adequate management and control.
Identifies key process issues facing the supporting effort and develop a set of priorities for improvement.
Ensures project consistency and implements PMO process and procedures based on the requirements of the EPMO.
Identifies barriers to change within the effort and make recommendations to improve the probability of success.
Contributes to the development of new and improvement of existing PMO processes and procedures.
Graduation in specialized field (Example: Bachelor of Engineering etc.) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.
Minimum-PMP or equivalent Project Management certification
Preferred-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt CertifiedCandidate Background:
Direct experience in leading/managing full lifecycle projects, or subsections of large/complex projects
Relationship management and business development experience
Ability to perform critical analysis of complex projects
Ability to perform feasibility studies and cost benefit analyses
Ability to effectively interview and interact with project executive sponsors, project team and external consultants
Effective presentation skills
Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment
Advanced proficiency in MS Project, MS Word, Visio, MS Excel and PowerPoint
Broad knowledge Project Management Institute (PMI) Knowledge Areas and proficient in at least three of the Knowledge Areas.
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and governmental regulations
Typically has substantial IT work experience, including some project support / management experience
Has established industry connections / networking (relationships with other suppliers, other companies)
