This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Install, configure, and secure Customer Edge (CE) routers at U.S. Government locations worldwide to support Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
– Install & configure CE routers to be compliant with relevant NIST, DoD, FIPS and other security guidance and standards with fully functional MPLS when connected to the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS)
– Install and cable physical hardware in racks and provision virtual machines and appliances to support network operation, security and performance
– Provide engineering rigor to design, validate, document, procure, and test network infrastructure components for autonomous systems
– Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks on Cisco and Juniper devices in accordance with established CM / Change Control policies
– Define WAN/LAN hardware & software configurations that meet JIE standards

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
– Five to eight (5-8) year’s related experience in Information Systems, Information Technology, Communications Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area or occupational field
– Experience implementing WAN solutions, including label switching, ATM, Frame relay, SONET
– BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and MPLS VPN implementation and troubleshooting experience
– Network design/architecture experience, and associated system engineering documentation and development lifecycle DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
– Security+ and OS training/certification, or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date to comply with DoD 8570 requirements.
